Utah and Texas have the most rooms per home.
According to recent information released by the U.S. Census Bureau, everything appears to be bigger in Texas, and in Utah.
The bureau surveyed 915 metropolitan and micropolitan areas and discovered that Utah properties have the most rooms per home, on average. While Texas also had numerous cities on the bureau's list, Utah areas accounted for the top five spots.
Brigham City, Utah has an average of seven rooms per home. However, families in Utah have also recently been found to have the most members on average, which supports the bureau's list.
Brownwood, Texas, had the highest average in the state at 5.7 rooms per home. The Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown metropolitan area followed at an average of 5.4.
Nationally, the median is 5.5 rooms per home, with 9.8 percent of properties across the country having nine rooms.
Homes are also becoming more affordable for those interested in moving. Standard & Poor's Case-Shiller Home Price Index revealed that home prices recently dropped 4.2 percent during March.
