Sharon Stone struggles to sell home

Being unable to sell your home for more than two years must be a frustrating experience, but Sharon Stone is likely feeling more than frustrated. The Beverly Hills home she bought in 2006 has been on the market since 2009, but she never even moved into the house, which is listed at $8.995 million - $2 million less than the original asking price.

The gated, walled compound is home to a Mediterranean estate that sits on 5 acres at the end of a private road. The land features pathways over bridges and waterfalls, fruit trees, a meditation garden and a tennis court.

The main building has a large formal dining room, over-sized living room with wet bar, fireplace, chef's kitchen, and a paneled library that has built-in shelves and a fireplace. The master suite has a fireplace, large terrace, dual baths and walk-in dressing rooms.

Three bedroom suites can be found upstairs, and another is located in the basement. The estate's separate guest house has a state-of-the-art media room, gym and two bedrooms.

Beverly Hills may see more moving trucks in coming months, as real estate prices in the area are falling. According to Trulia, the average listing price is $4.4 million while the median sales price is $1.19 million - down 14.7 percent from 2010.
