Piano man Billy Joel is seeking a buyer for the 5,742 square foot Sagaponack, New York, house he bought from late Jaws star Roy Scheider in 2007, according to real estate company Trulia. The 4-bedroom, 6-bath house was listed months ago at $22.5 million, but the price has been slashed to $16.75 million, which Trulia reports is the same amount he paid for the property.
The house is upside-down style, with living quarters on the second story and bedrooms on the ground floor, and according to Trulia, the interior was recently redone by celebrity designer Nate Berkus.
Sheryl Crow sang that all she wants to do is have some fun, and she’ll have plenty of space to play on the 50.69 acre Nashville property she recently purchased. The Real Estalker blog cites Davidson County property records showing Crow paid $5.2 million for the huge spread, which includes a 6,784 square foot house. The 18-room house was built in 2005 and is surrounded by lawns, a walled garden, a sport court, swimming pool/spa and 3-car garage, The Real Estalker reports.
Crow’s previous home is still listed on Trulia for $4.5 million.
