Former homes of Bing Crosby, Anna Nicole Smith for sale

The Los Angeles homes of two late celebrities from very different eras, Bing Crosby and Anna Nicole Smith, are on the market.

Online listing service Top Ten Real Estate Deals describes the 7,200 square foot Bing Crosby estate as a "classic beauty" that reflects the "warmth, charm and graciousness" of its previous owner, the iconic crooner and film star who won the 1944 Academy Award for Best Actor. Listed for $4.78 million, the house is a 6-bedroom Southern Colonial situated on well-manicured grounds that include tennis courts with built-in grandstands and a 2-bedroom, 2-bath guest house.

Anna Nicole Smith was a star of more recent years, and her former abode became famous as the setting of a decidedly contemporary phenomenon: a TV reality show. During its 2002-2003 run, The Anna Nicole Show was filmed at the hilltop Studio City house that is now listed for $1.75 million. Described by real estate company Trulia as a "contemporary Mediterranean" construction, the 5-bedroom, 6-bath house features marble floors and wrap-around balconies. Parts of the residence, including a pink bedroom, are still decorated as they were during the filming of Smith's TV show.
