Outdoor lovers may be tempted to hop into a moving truck and head to the estate in Montana's Paradise Valley, near Yellowstone National Park, with 2 miles of fishing space in Six Mile Creek, two ponds and historic gold mines. Quaid told People magazine he's selling the home to buy a new property in Hawaii so he can surf.
The main home has a large living room with a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, partially-paneled walls, a bank of floor-to-ceiling French doors and windows and wood floors salvaged from the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
The property also has four guest houses, a ranch manager's home and horse facilities.
The average listing price for homes in Emigrant for the week ending October 12 was $660,225, a 4.4 percent increase from the previous week, according to Trulia. The real estate website currently lists 75 new and resale homes in the town.
