Alec Baldwin recently sold his Central Park West home in New York City and bought a new residence in Greenwich Village.
Actor Alec Baldwin isn't encountering real estate difficulties like a majority of Americans. The "30 Rock" star put his Central Park West home on the market in August in advance of moving to an $11.7 million complex made up of six separate apartments. A buyer recently purchased his former home for close to the $9.5 million asking price
The Central Park West home takes up an entire floor of the distinguished Dorado building, with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The 22nd-story home has a gallery, wood-burning fireplace, crown moldings, paneled library and a powder room.
Baldwin's new Greenwich Village residence is a sprawling 4,137-square-foot duplex that takes up the Devonshire House's 12th floor and penthouse area. The building dates back to 1928 but recently was restored and renovated, and existing units were combined to make larger homes.
The actor's unit has a spacious dining room, two master suites, a fireplace and an upstairs den. The building features an Elizabethan lobby with stained glass windows, a rooftop terrace, a traditional English courtyard, fitness center and children's playroom.
