New households forming as more young adults leave the nest

Due to the sluggish economy over the past several years, many young adults graduating from college were found to be moving back in with their parents until they could find a house of their own. And while the nation's financial system hasn't fully recovered, twentysomethings now appear to be leaving the nest at a prodigious rate.

According to Bloomberg, new households are forming at the fastest rate seen since 2007.

In an interview with the source, Shelby Webb, a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee, said the time felt right for her to start packing up moving trucks.

"I love my parents but I didn’t want to live with them anymore," said Webb. Webb went on to say that she originally moved back in with her folks because she had difficulty finding a job, and because several of her friends had similar troubles, they too moved back in with their parents.

Though industry analysts say it's become easier for job hunters to find a job, a recent employment analysis indicates the recovery may be slowing. A new national employment report found that the job market improved in the month of April but only at a moderate pace.
