With the economy adding more jobs, workers are more willing to relocate across country.
New jobs numbers from the ADP National Employment Report find the economy added 216,000 private sector jobs from January to February, marking the fifth straight month with overall growth of more than 200,000 jobs.
Small businesses accounted for the bulk of the job growth, with 108,000 - exactly 50 percent - of jobs created. Large businesses took on 20,000 new employees during the same period, according to ADP.
"Also, for February, virtually every sector of the economy added jobs – something I hope will continue for the rest of 2012," said ADP president and CEO Carlos Rodriguez.
Relocating for a job is one of the top reasons both families and individuals move, and cross country moving has become more common as jobs grow, with millions of Americans relocating in 2011, according to USA Today.
While some employers are willing to pay relocation costs, others aren't. It's a good idea to research the costs involved in a cross country move, including airfare versus driving costs, storage containers, and the cost of hiring moving companies. Planning ahead is important for big moves.
