Career Highlights
Once a promising junior tennis player, Shane decided to concentrate solely on golf after losing a big match to Andre Agassi. Shane won his first golf tournament in 1994, the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am. Shane is making the PGA Tour in 2006 for the third time after finishing eighth on the 2005 Nationwide Tour money list with $263,373. Best 2006 PGA Tour finish: 7th in BellSouth Classic, his second top-10 in 72 career starts. Best career PGA Tour finish: 5th in the 1996 Greater Vancouver Open. Best 2006 round: 63 on Round 3 of the Sony Open in Hawaii. In 2005, Shane scored five top-10 finishes in 26 events. Best 2005 Nationwide Tour finishes: 1st in BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs; 2nd in BellSouth Panama Championship; 10th in Knoxville Open Presented by Food City, Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic. |
